I don't think God would agree with that saying at all!

That definitely holds the possibilities of doing wrong if it would some how help someone. Case and point.... Robin Hood and his merry men would steal from the rich and give to the poor ~ at first glance we can say the the end justifies the means. However could we truly say that stealing is justified if the end result is to give to the poor? Of course not!

Romans 6, 7 & 8 the Apostle Paul wrestles with similiar notions of continuing in sin if it would cause grace to abound. 

Take a look into these chapters and get back with me. It is just one example of many but I think it will provide you a principle to live by.
